This small body of twelve tiny works by New York-based artist Jacqueline Lou Skaags consist of images painted on discarded pennies she found on sidewalks. Inspired by the works of the 17th century Dutch masters, Jacqueline has incredibly managed to turn the unpopular coins into tiny circular canvases with incredible detail. By defacing the pennies, she adds value and beauty to something that would otherwise have close to none.
